Yes. I was thinking about it and when I read your post I did some research online and decided I would try it. I’ll give you a quick summary of the experience.

BAD THINGS: Horseradish is more expensive (per pound) than ginger. I personally hate the smell of fresh cut horseradish, it makes me want to throw up and the smell lingers for a while even after clean up. This was my first time trying it with horseradish but it seemed to be more difficult to prepare the horseradish as compared to the ginger.

GOOD THINGS: The horseradish is very soft, especially towards the very center of it. This minimizes the risk of injury to the anal amateur. If you are looking for a burn that is more intense than ginger, horseradish will definitely do the trick. In my experience, it felt much hotter than the ginger.

Overall, not bad, but I hate the smell of horseradish and love the smell of ginger. To me ginger reminds me of a lemon scent so it always smells “clean” I guess. So horseradish burns more but I suggest just using fresh ginger to get the job done. One trick I’ve found if you’re looking for an intense burn is that after you’re done preparing your ginger plug is to take a serrated kitchen knife and lightly scrape the sides of the plug that will be inserted. Just enough to create small ridges so that the juices flow through them and out of the ridges.
